Disc Golf Video Updates
Disc Updates
- There's been quite a few new golf discs since the first disc golf video was released Feb, 2002. I think they all fly well and of course some every one will be the most useful disc in the world to someone. However, only a couple have found their way into my bag.
- Wasp - I've been waiting my whole life for this golf disc. It is a mid range/approach disc that holds its line better than the MRV. The MRV is still good for shots you want to turn a little right, and now the Wasp is good for shots you want to turn a little left. I believe that the Wasp will be in EVERY Discraft Team members bag by this coming spring. It is also now my number one driver for shorter holes that I can reach without really throwing hard.
- Wildcat - This is the fastest golf disc Discraft makes. It turns left at slower speed but will turn right and get flat when thrown faster. I use it on holes that require extra distance but don't have room for the big fade shot.
- X-Putt'r - This is more of a specialty golf disc. It will turn without fading back at slower speeds which nothing else really does well.
- Predator - I'm still experimenting with this one. It looks good but I'm stubborn about changing from the X2 which the Predator flies like. As of right now I'm sticking with the X2 but I'll keep you posted.
Technique Updates
- Just a point of clarification. I mentioned that for finesse shots that it is best to face forward. What I meant was to not turn too far away from where you're aiming like you do to throw far. You still want to square your shoulders.
